The Boomswagglers' Bootleg Beginnings from the Shack Out Back has finally be re-released digitally. Originally released in 2011, the record set The Boomswagglers up as one of the most revered bands in the burgeoning underground country scene. The song "Run You Down" went on to be nominated for an Independent Music Award for Best Country Song, and multiple songs from the record were used in the documentary Rolling Papers in 2015. The record has since become a cult favorite.

The Boomswagglers will be trekking from Austin, TX in late July to attend the highly-buzzed Tumbleweed Music Festival, where they will be sharing the lineup with the likes of Billy Joe Shaver, Cody Jinks, Whitey Morgan, Sunny Sweeney, Jamey Johnson, and many more. Being held in Sugar Creek, MO (just outside of Kansas City), The Tumbleweed Festival offers three days of entertainment, with The Boomswagglers playing Thursday night (7-27).

The Boomswagglers have been officially announced as one of the first 100 bands to be selected to play the prestigious AmericanaFest in Nashville September 12th thru 17th, 2017. They will be performing at AmericanaFest alongside acts such as the Turnpike Troubadours, Brandy Clark, Deer Tick, and Rodney Crowell, and will be touring from Austin to attend the event. The honor has also landed them mention in places such as Rolling Stone, American Songwriter, and many more.

After spending much of the winter and spring in the studio, The Boomswagglers with be attending SXSW in Austin the 3rd week of March as they get ready for what promises to be a big 2017. Playing multiple showcases during the annual music gathering, the 3-piece, hard-driving and dirty country band will be playing a mix of the older material that made them a big name in the country music underground, and the new material that they hope will take the project to a wider audience in the coming months. Helmed by singer and songwriter Spencer Cornett, the band will be showcasing their original songs with Steven "Brock" Bracamontez on lead guitar, and Kyle "The Triggerman" Coroneos on drums at multiple events including the Spring Fling at Giddups, and the annual Brooklyn Country Cantina.
